Abstract:
Smart Energy Management Systems (SEMS) are truly transforming how we think about energy use, allowing us to reduce carbon emissions and foster sustainability in our modern world. As global electricity demand is expected to soar by an incredible 50% by 2050 as per International Energy Agency, innovative technologies—like Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and big data analytics—are playing a pivotal role in creating intelligent, decentralized energy networks. But SEMS goes beyond just efficiency; it’s a catalyst for attaining the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting sustainable economic growth while bolstering the resilience of our energy grids and expanding renewable energy adoption. In an era of rapid technological advancements and growing environmental concerns, energy management has become a critical challenge. Smart Energy Management Systems (SEMS) by changing how energy is generated, controlled, and used. Through AI integration, SEMS gain the ability to monitor operations in real time, utilize predictive insights, and execute automated control measures. These capabilities significantly enhance efficiency and help reduce the overall environmental
